Made my way to FatBurger today just north of Lufthansa Center (10 minute walk from #10 Liangma Qiao). Simple review : Excellent.
Had a "Double Fat" with cheese and fat fries. Not cheap, but also the best burger in town.. far better than Lush, Lett's (actually, Lett's Not), Blue Frog or Union Cafe. Cooked medium, decent bun, real cheddar and not overwhelmed with mayo, catsup or mustard. Pickles had a nice snap to them and the onion slices were thin enough to be bitten through cleaning so you don't end up pulling an entire onion ring out when taking a bite. Fries were crisp and there was no "off taste" from the fry oil. maybe a tad more salt on the fries? The grilled beef simply tasted better than anything else I have had short of handmade burgers on friends' barbecues. Dining room was spotless, decent metal knife and fork (THANK YOU!) were clean and the overall noise level was quite reasonable for a half full dining room. Staff was very friendly.
Two suggestions.. Stay open until 10 or 11, certainly for Friday and Saturday nights and get some WiFi in the store...
