Onions are commonly found in kitchens around the world. Aside from vitamins, minerals, and other phytonutrients (phyto meaning plant), onions have the highest quantity of quercetin. This plant compound has high antioxidant properties and protects against aging. Quercetin has anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, anti-diabetic, and anti-viral properties. Quercetin can easily cross the Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) and therefore protects from neurodegenerative diseases. In this session, we will learn about the history of onions, their nutritional value, medicinal properties, and explore their anti-aging capabilities.

To wrap up, Melissa will lead us in a grounding visualization to help calm our nervous system and relax in the present moment. It is the perfect way to end a busy day. Join us!
