An egg tarts shop at Sanlitun Nanjie, RMB 12 per one. The crust was not puff pastry style but the shortcrust pastry, and it was so thick and tasted like cookies which gave a kick of milk and butter. About the custard, it smelled like goat’s chewable tablets and it was sugary sweet.
