Korean KU Art Center is a recently opened gallery located in Huantie International Art District , Beijing . Opened with the precise intention of being a platform for both well established and young artists, KU Art Center is aimed at offering to the public not just stimulating exhibitions, but also the right academic tools to understand its shows more deeply. Founded in May 2007 the center was inaugurated with a group exhibition curated by Feng Boyi and featuring the works of leading Chinese artists like Ai Weiwei, Ai Ke, Li Songsong, Wang Ningde, Yang Zhichao, Wang Huaxiang, and Zhang Dali among the others. The second exhibition curated by Zhao Li and Korean curator S M, Moon was an insightful survey of Chinese talents in their twenties, and showcased the works of young and gifted artists like Zhou Beili, Chen Jiao, Li Rui, Lin Guocheng. The third exhibition, “Happily Astray,” pays homage to Wang Huaxiang, a noted figure of Chinese art and art education, whose innovative teaching methods and theories have represented a breakthrough in Chinese contemporary art.
