Although he was born in Zhejiang and did some of his best work in Shanghai in the early part of the 20th century, Lu Xun, the father of modern Chinese literature, also lived in Beijing from 1912-1926, where he was a key figure in the May Fourth Movement in 1919. The museum features some of Lu's personal effects, first editions of some of his works and copies of his writings for various literary magazines. The museum also sells copies of Lu's works in Chinese and other languages, including his classic and biting satire, The True Story of Ah Q. RMB 5, RMB 3 (students).
