Located a couple of doors down from D-22 and set in the basement of the three-tier Urban Backyard compound, Rendezvous has a cool ambiance created by the combination of walls made of piles of slate tiles and bookshelves hosting a predictable muddle of titles; the decor is also heavily indebted to American pop culture and iconography. Coffees are priced from RMB 15, beer from RMB 20 and cocktails from RMB 25. Among the innovations touted are English corners, live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays and a simple menu of cafe classics.
