Temple of Sun is located in the eastern Beijing, around the Jianguomen area, near the embassy district. It was enclosed and built in the Jiaqing 9th Year of Ming Dynasty (1530). In 1951, it was expanded to the Temple of Sun Park covering an area of more than 20 hectares by the order of Beijing People’s government.
