加拿大艺术家子玉(Ember Swift)现居中国北京。自1996年起,她已经发行了11张专辑,并在很多国家拥有 忠实的粉丝。她的上一张专辑是她的第11张专辑,正好又发行在2011年,所以命名为”11:11”。

子玉讲一口流利的中文,丈夫又是中国人,对中国文化有着较深的理解,她的音乐也凸显出这种文化的交融 碰撞。比如歌词有中文、有英文、有法文(这两个都是加拿大的官方语言),在编配上除了常规的西方乐器也 用到了中国的传统乐器二胡。个人方面,子玉有着充满张力的嗓音,弹得一手好琴,她爵士风格的吉他演奏 独具一格,不仅如此,舞台上的她更有着迷人的气质。

Ember Swift is a Canadian musician and songwriter who has released 12 albums and 1 DVD project since 1996 through her own independent label “Few’ll Ignite Sound.”

Her most recent album "Sticks & Stones" (2017) is a collection of work in three categories: Songs for Adults; Songs for Kids; and finally Songs for Adults w/ Kids, a community she feels deserves some separate recogni-tion! This new body of work culminated over the past five years since becoming a mother of two in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

This is Ember's third release since moving to Beijing in 2008 and it demonstrates how music can serve as a bridge between the two diver-gent cultures: East and West. Fluent in Mandarin and French, Ember sings in all three languages (including English).

Anyone who’s anyone in Beijing knows the name and voice of Jess Meider. One of China’s best jazz vocalists, Jess has spent 20 years gracing stages, festivals and music venues all over China with her amazing voice. She moves between her jazz quartet, her singer-songwriter project and her electronic band, “Chinatown.” A resident jazz artist for Beijing’s acclaimed East Shore Jazz Club for 4 years, she has also shared the stage with highly popular vocalist Gong Lin Na, sung for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, performed at an event for Quincy Jones and has appeared for the highly popular Midi Music Festival shows all over China. Jess is highly sought out for VIP events for Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Volvo, Hermes, Ferrari, Tiffany’s, Bazaar Magazine and many more high-end brands. She is currently a resident jazz artist at Beijing’s prestigious Chao.

任何在北京居住过的人可能都曾有意或者无意间听到过Jess Meider的名字。 她的嗓音………..。作为当代中国最好的爵士乐歌手之一，长期以来她一直活跃在国内各类舞台、音乐节和大型演出活动中。除了在一支爵士四重奏乐队中担任人声部分以外，Jess还同时独立进行音乐词曲创作，并和志趣相投的朋友一起组建了名为 “唐人街”的电子乐队。与北京东岸爵士俱乐部签约四年以来，Jess的人声爵士表演广受赞誉。她曾与歌手龚琳娜同台表演，在昆西.琼斯的一次北京现场活动中担任演出嘉宾，并有幸参与了2008年北京奥运会的演出活动，还曾多次受邀迷笛音乐节进行全国巡演。与此同时，Jess受到了诸多国际高端品牌的青睐，在梅赛德斯奔驰、奥迪、宝马、沃尔沃、爱马仕、法拉利、蒂芙尼、时尚芭莎杂志等品牌VIP活动中担任演出嘉宾。目前，她是北京著名的chao艺术中心签约爵士艺人。

If you haven’t seen her you will have definitely heard her singing on your radio, television and cinema screen. A songwriting graduate of the world famous Berklee College of Music, her jazz quartet and her original music were featured in the 2010 Andy Lao hysterical remake of “What Women Want.” Her vocal and writing talents have also appeared nationwide in China for commercials for GM, Audi, Samsung and many other high-end brands. Her voice has also been featured singing on the final climatic scene of Cui Jian’s 2014 movie release, “Blue Sky Bones”.

如果你还没有机会见到过她，你肯定会在广播、电视或者电影中听到过她的演唱。Jess毕业于世界著名的伯克利音乐学院。2010年，她和她的乐队为刘德华主演的大热影片 “我知女人心”创作的主题曲在当时广为流传，之后，Jess又在崔健2014年执导的电影“蓝色骨头”片尾曲中献唱。并多次为通用、奥迪，三星等众多国际品牌的广告片进行音乐创作。

A woman of many talents, she has starred as the heroine lead role in a short film “Tube Girl.” Many well known Chinese TV and radio shows have requested her as a special guest; and if you want to find out more, there is even a documentary of her life in China which aired on national TV (CCTV4) in Sept 2014.

近年来，Jess更是将她的才能和远见从音乐延伸至影视表演等更为广阔的领域。她曾主演短片“Tube Girl”，在国内电视媒体的多档知名节目中作为特邀嘉宾，有关她个人音乐之路的纪录短片，也曾在2014年9月中央电视台国际频道播出。

Jess has 4 self released albums showcasing her wonderful songwriting and vocal skills. She is always exploring new music, so we await with anticipation for the release of her new electronic album in September.

在已经发行的四张个人专辑里，Jess全方位的向听众展示了她高超的音乐创作天赋和独特、成熟的声乐技巧。尽管如此，她对音乐的探索和追求却从未停止，让我们对她即将在9月发行的全新电子专辑拭目以待！

Dan Taylor

Singer-songwriter Dan Taylor hails from Yorkshire. He has been influenced by the traditional celtic music of the British Isles and now blends rock and folk during his performances. Dan Taylor has been performing in and around Beijing for the last few years. he fronts the bands 'The Harridans' and 'Phuture Vulture and the Absolute', and often plays solo acoustic gigs.
