John Carroll is an artist from Limerick, Ireland who has been living in Hangzhou, China since 2007. His songs are acoustic/indie/folk. He has toured extensively around China as an independent artist with Medic Records and has also performed in some of China's largest music festivals including the Shanghai and Taihu Midi World Music and Folk festivals 2014 & 2015, Hangzhou Xihu Festival 2011, and Dolphin Festival 2011.

He has released 3 solo albums of music (2010/'17) along with self-produced animated videos and artwork, and a 2018 remix album. Previous to his solo music he has also performed and recorded music with The Phoenix Prestige ('08/10), Middleclass Housewives('04/05), and Medic ('95/98).
