While Modernsky Lab has closed down to the shock of Beijing’s creative community, the label behind the venue is still very much alive and kicking. And what better way to prove it than to organise a gig or two, or even an entire four-day festival, because why the hell not? This year’s Sound of the Xity is mainly focused on showcasing homegrown talent with almost a dozen Chinese bands already preparing to hit stages all over Beijing. Venues include DDC, School Bar, Yugong Yishan, Tango and Yue Space. There is hardly a better way to get familiar with Beijing's music scene and local tastes than this.

DDC，as the one of favorite spot of our delegates ,find the fabulous balance between proving two kinds of experience ,Chill and Edgy .This show also follows this style. This time , we have the famous indie band Mayuanshiren who come from northwest of China and the new Beijing band Peppercorns who is enlightened by psychedelic in 60s and 70s. If you enjoy the likes of Foal,Bonobo and Coldplay, you should not miss Nocturnes.AAAAND, we have a special headliner, best rock billy band in China, Rolling Bowling to make your trip worth it and set your heart on fire!
