It Takes 4-6 Months to Prepare Pets to Go to The European Union! Begin Preparing Early!

If you had to leave China on short notice, would you be able to take your pet with you?

  • Did you know it takes at least 4-6 months to prepare a pet from China to go to any of the 28 member nations of the European Union (including the UK) and the UAE?

  • Did you know it takes a minimum of 6-7 months to prepare pets to go to Singapore?

  • Did you know it takes a minimum of 7-8 months to prepare pets to go to Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan?

  • Did you know that the rabies antibody titre test is required for the pets entering the EU, UAE, Israel, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and many other countries/territories with strict quarantine control?

  • Did you know that for EU countries, the rabies antibody titre test is valid for the life of the animal as long as your pet is rabies vaccinated again before the expiration date of the last rabies vaccination?

  • Did you know it is NEVER "too early" to prepare pets for departure?

The number of pets being abandoned and relinquished is increasing at an alarming rate. One key reason for the increase is that pet owners are not aware of the significant lead times and specific requirements for many destination countries to prepare a pet for international relocation.

Please join the ICVS “Departing from China with Pets” FREE information sessions to learn what is needed to take your pet with you when the time comes to relocate. It is never too early to find out the facts, even if you are unsure about your departure date and to which country you may be relocating.

Date: Saturday, January 6, 2018

Time: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Place: International Center for Veterinary Services

This session is FREE! Everyone is welcome! RSVP by January 6, 2018, 10AM to: reception@ICVSASIA.com

ICVS pet relocation experts will share step-by-step instructions on the newest 2018 exit process and Quarantine Bureau requirements, winter blackout periods on pet travel, microchipping, vaccinations, rabies antibody titre testing, and other requirements to help you prepare for a smooth departure from China and an easy entry to your next destination country.

ICVS will be sharing new updates and requirements from the PRC Quarantine Bureau that will affect pets departing for European Union and other countries.

ICVS pet relocation experts will help you make a plan for departure even if you may be considering multiple potential countries and do not have a clear departure date.

ICVS has helped pets from China depart for more than 180 destination countries. We have been working with the PRC Entry-Exit Quarantine and Inspection Bureau since 1996 and have cumulative and comprehensive knowledge of the regulations that we share with pet owners. The ICVS official Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (e.g., vaccination red books) are the gold standard in China and help pet owners ensure a smooth experience at the time of the mandatory exit health examination at the Quarantine Bureau.

ICVS vaccination red books are unique and are not issued in conjunction with any other pet hospitals in China. Please ensure your vaccination red book is issued directly by ICVS and carries all legally required stamps (e.g., chops) for export.

ICVS clients receive unlimited, complimentary pet relocation, import and export counseling from our pet relocation experts. Our mission is to help pet owners keep the whole family and pets together when it is time to depart!

City Weekend Magazine says:

"This extraordinarily informative discussion will help you take Fluffy home with the least amount of hassle possible. The ICVS staff are well-versed in international quarantine laws and also the Chinese pet vaccination and veterinary system. If you're planning on leaving sometime this year, this is a must-attend event."

Please note that the Beijing Quarantine Bureau is now advising all departing pet owners to take their pets for the mandatory exit health examination at 10-12 days before the departure date (previously, the recommendation was to bring pets for the exit health examination at 7-10 days before departure).

The Beijing Quarantine Bureau now requires that all pets undergoing the mandatory exit health examination in Beijing must provide an official vaccination certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) issued by an officially designated animal rabies vaccination hospital in Beijing. ICVS can issue the official Beijing vaccination certificates for all pets allowing them to undergo the exit health examination at the Beijing Quarantine Bureau.

PRC Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau Latest Update:

Any dog that tests positive for heartworm will not be granted an exit permit to leave China. This requirement will now be strictly enforced at the time of the exit health examination at the Quarantine Bureau's officially designated animal hospital (conducted 10-12 days before departure). Please ensure your dogs are heartworm tested annually and are on year-round heartworm preventives. Heartworm is treatable but the safest treatment protocol may take six-months or more. For more information about heartworm testing and preventatives to ensure your dogs are heartworm free, please visit the ICVS web site: www.ICVSASIA.com.

ICVS offers its express and affordable rabies antibody titre testing service for departing pets. Please join the experts from ICVS as we provide guidance on import/export requirements for all countries with specific focus on strict quarantine control destinations and rabies antibody titre testing and other requirements, including the European Union, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Saudia Arabia, Dubai (UAE), Israel and more! The rabies antibody titre test for EU entry is good for the life of the pet as long as the pet is rabies vaccinated annually before the vaccination expiration date. Completing the rabies antibody titre test as soon as you know you may be relocating to the EU will help prevent delays should you need to leave China on short notice or earlier than planned.

The International Center for Veterinary Services is an officially designated animal vaccination hospital and can provide the required legal rabies vaccination and official vaccination certificate for export, microchipping and rabies antibody titre testing for EU and all other countries. ICVS is delighted to provide this service to all pet owners, especially the international community.

ICVS is a high-quality, affordable full service medical and pet care facility with well-trained professionals to serve all your needs. Services include spay/neuter surgeries, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dental cleanings, hospitalization, legal vaccinations, microchipping, rabies antibody titre testing for export, laboratory diagnostics and blood tests, X-rays & ultrasound, MRI and CT Scan.
