The Black Art Jazz Collective is Wayne Escoffery on sax, Jonathan Blake on drumbs, James Burton III on trombone, Jeremy Pelt on bass and Danny Grissett on piano. The artists have played with big names including the Mingus Big Band, and the Duke Ellington Big Band and have been educated at big names like the New England Conservatory of Music and the Thelonius Monk Academy of Music. See them at Blue Note on August 18th and 19th.
