On the occasion of the Lantern's Festival, Beijing Broads invite you to join our next show is on the 26th of February, 20:00pm. Meet us at Chez soi for our first show of year 2021 and the year of the Cow!

In the Chinese calendar, the 26th of February this year corresponds to 正月十五 (the 15th of the first month), which is also the Lantern's festival (元宵节， Yuánxiāo jié).  Traditionally, Lantern's festival is the last day of CNY. In old ages, young women and men met and played riddles that are hidden in lanterns to express their love. 

The old meanings of Lantern's festival have evolved in China and it is more an occasion for the family to gather. 

And as we all know, every family has its own secrets.

May the lanterns shine their lights on the dark secrets of our Broads family members and reveal them, for the pleasure of our audience!

As usual, proceeds will go to EGRC, Educating Girls of Rural China, a NGO that supports girls from rural regions of Western China to receive high schoold and university education.
