This gathering marks the official launch of RASBJ Eats, a new quarterly series dedicated to showcasing China’s diverse culinary traditions through themed dining experiences across Beijing. This time, we will sample distinguished dishes from Huizhou, a historic region in southern Anhui. The dinner will take place at Huishang Birthplace, a flagship restaurant renowned for its authentic Huizhou-style architecture and decor, featuring traditional brick, wood, and stone elements. Guests can look forward to stinky mandarin fish, shredded bamboo shoots, fried shrimp with Mao Feng (Yellow Mountain green tea), Huizhou fried pork slices, wormwood rice cake, and other hallmark flavors unique to Huizhou cuisine.
This event is open to all and warmly welcomes guests from every background; however, due to the goal of preserving culinary authenticity, not all dietary preferences or restrictions (including but not limited to vegetarian, dairy-free, wheat-free, and allergy-specific diets) can be accommodated.
