Excellent food: both steak and seafood. I had the Boston lobster and my friend had the grilled steak. Both were presented with class and tasted heavenly. The desserts, however, were a little disappointing but it could be due to the expectation we had after experiencing such a delectable main course. We ordered the S'more and deep fried ice cream.
Wine was just average. Could have been better. We had the pinot noir.
Service was not bad at all. We had a waitress all to ourselves throughout the evening. She spoke wonderful English. No communication problem at all. Our wine glasses were quickly filled. Water was brought each time the waitress noticed our glass was down to half.
Nice ambiance. Lighting was not too bright. Diners were mostly locals whom I suspect were the nouveau riche of China (given the pricey menu), with occasional mix of foreign visitors staying at the two hotels there (JW Marriot and Ritz-Carlton).
With wine and drinks, our bill came up to a little over RMB 1700. Overall a very delicious dinner. We will certainly come back for more.
