Having a bite of the noodles, a sip of the soup, a glance of the narrow noisy backstreet of Sanlitun in a warm evening after work, watching the neon lights and the people of different colors at different paces passing by suddenly made me dizzy a bit. I couldn't find my way back on my feet and figure out where I really was until my friend said 'Beijing is such an amazing place.'. Yes, this is Beijing. But I still couldn't help doubting every time I look around.

After staying in Beijing for five years, seeing the historical spots more times then I can count, knowing where most of the fun spots are, I still can't help mumbling when I am asked to give Beijing a definition. Maybe because of its tremendous depth.

Beijing def has lots of shortcomings to be complained about just like every other big city in the world. But Beijing got lots going on and lots to offer - the art, music, culture, ect. Not to mention it is really warm, welcoming, humble, kind, safe, convenient, inexpensive, tolerant and beautiful...

Oh yeah. The pho is very nice too!
