Ichikura is a great Japanese bar, down besides the theatre that was once the 'Chaoyang Acrobatics Microcosm'.
It's tiny compared to places like The Saddle and First Floor, but it's red suave decor and hushed atmosphere make seem like an exclusive joint. It's a great place to take a date. The drinks are a little pricey but they are quality - both in alcohol content and they're all served properly in the proper glass an all that - some come with creative chunks of carved ice which is cool. All in all a great, stylish low key place to go to relax and chat quietly rather than line up 38 shooters and down them one by one whilst your mates cheer you on like a gaggle of demented baboons.
