Review of Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
The summer palace is a huge park with a lot to do. This is a pretty common tourist destination so lookout for the large groups. The lake behind the palace is absolutely beautiful. We found a crazy japanese man back there wearing the oddest clothes who we took pictures with. You can rent boats on the lake or just stroll and take pictures. There is a stone boat near the one end of the park in the lake...i have no idea why you would ever build a stone boat but it is pretty cool to look at.
