Ganges is a great place to come when craving Indian, and though it may not be the best it more than makes up for any flaws. Their 48 yuan lunch buffet is an amazing deal that comes with free-flowing naan. The buffet consists of, usually, 2 appetisers, a soup or two, chicken tikka, a second dry dish, 2 curries, and 2 rices, along with some fruit and ice cream for dessert. Some of the dishes can fall flat but i enjoy sampling various dishes I normally wouldn't for dinner and I always leave full and satisfied.
Dinner is great when I can get my favorite dishes, (samosas, butter chicken, and vindaloo) and with a few beers dinner for two comes in just over 200 kuai.
I prefer The Village location to The Place, it more spacious and open as opposed to an area in the basement. Some curries have fallen flat for me. The palak paneer is too smooth and the rogan josh has never been as good as other places. Their tamarind paste and mint chutney usually aren't right, but little bumps that I don't mind overall.
