Cute little bookstore with a cool interior in Jianwai Soho. it's usually not crowded and it has a little area where toddlers can play and lots of nooks and crannies where kids can explore books. The bright colors and friendly staff make it a welcoming place to visit.
As far as book selection is concerned, there's mostly Japanese and Chinese titles (with many books translated from the original English) plus a small selection of very inexpensive bilingual English/Chinese titles and a small section of very expensive imported English books. The selection is definitely skewed towards the younger end of the scale.
All in all, a great place for an afternoon activity, as long as you don't arrive with the expectation that you are going to find exactly that English language title you remember from when you were a kid.
