Review of Din Tai Fung
It's the closest sweet southrn style baozi dumplings you can get in Beijing. And it's so pricey and not worth the money you spend. The basket is big and encouraging but the dumplings are so small, and only full of oil.
I am not sure why din tai fung is so popular and so pricey. I mean, in Nanjing or Hangzhou, RMB 5 can get a big basket of BIG dumplings full of sweet juicy chicken or pork. How hard is it to make in Beijing? Beijing has good chicken and pork as well as wheat, right?
