Was last here on Cinco de Mayo. Apparently inflation is affecting food portions. The salad my friend ordered is now smaller than before and the nachos are so much worse than they used to be. I recommend avoiding the nachos for now or rejecting them when you get them delivered; very disappointing.
Service seems pretty good. The staff tries to do everything promptly. However, there is an issue with the barbecue sauce. My friend opted to only have barbecue sauce and something else delivered with her salad. Only barbecue sauce came and it was a blend of Heinz ketchup with a tad bit of barbecue sauce. Any western person could tell you it tasted like ketchup. The staff claims it's barbecue sauce. Why is this place cutting the barbecue sauce with ketchup?!?!?! Who's crazy idea was that?! Had to ask three times before the waitress brought the original tub of bbq sauce out and asked if that's what my friend wanted. This is the 2nd time this has happened to my friend. Luckily, we were prepared to go through this BS.
Oh, the waitress must not have recorded a quesadilla I ordered. I don't know where the order went wrong because she definitely said the order back correctly. At least the bill didn't have the quesadilla on it.
Since food prices rose over 10%, Cantina now serves smaller portions of mediocre food. If you're desperate for hispanic food and are in Sanlitun, might as well go here.
