So I went there this afternoon by myself for lunch. I guess that was my first mistake as clearly single people are not welcome there. They didn't really want to seat me, and made it obvious. In fact they were pretty rude from the start about not wanting to seat me, but finally they did.
Next I finally manged to get someone to take my order after a long wait. I ordered the set lunch which came with a salad and a main course. I get sick eating onions, so although none of the items listed any onions in them, just to be safe I told the girl anyway to make sure no onions (which I always do.) When the salad came it was some melted cheese, and some pieces of spinach, all covered with chopped onions. I ate one bite, decided nevermind, and just put it aside. Eventually the waitress asked me if I was through, and I said yes, I don't want to eat it because it has onions. She just said Oh, right, and took it away. Next my main course came and it also was full of onions. This time I called the girl back and said I can't eat this, it has onions. So then the girl said, oh well then do you want chicken. I didn't really want chicken, but I had already waited one hour at this point, so I said fine. The girl comes back with chicken and it looks like the exact same dish with beans and onions. I told the girl again, look I can not eat onions (doing my best to remain very calm at this point.). She take sit to the guy who I guess is the Italian onion who has ignored me from the beginning, and he shouts something to her abut telling me to take it or leave it, and brings it back to me. When she came back I decided to go have a word with the owner. before I say anything, the only words he says to me is "If you don't like it, get out, and don't ever come back."
Well, the time for me to be polite had now passed, and I lit into this fat idiot. I really don't care if a restaurant makes a mistake, or even if they would have just come out and said to me look, sorry, we can't make anything without onions-then I could just be on my merry way. But when this sorry ass owner starts trying to blame for their own shortcomings, I don't take that kind of rude treatment lightly.
So is the food any good, I have no idea. But if they can't figure how to treat customers with respect, I don't really care to find out. There are plenty of other places to eat (Hello Annies.)
