Sand Pebbles Lounge is not the average name of a Mexican place, therefore I was not very optimistic. However the food was good and the layout upstairs is cool. There's a big glass table set below the level of the floor, with lots of pebbles underneath, hence the names of the place.
We had potato wedges which were very crispy and tasted good, also a tuna and potato salad which was good. The tacos were ok, but lacked a 'Kick'!!. The enchiladas were very good, crispy, nice filling inside but some sour cream would have been nice.
The service is also quite good, however the place is usually quiet so lacks a little atmosphere.
Overall the price is quite cheap compared to other places, and the food is at least as good as the usual Mexican places in Sanlitun if not better. I also like the location, and provides another option away from the Vineyard.
