I guess the positive reviews are from people who haven't eaten good Xin Jiang food.

Average food, no flavour and more expensive then better places.

I go to a place around the corner that's way better. Called 'A Da Xi'. Qian liang Hutong (off dong si da jie, inbetween dong si 4 & 5 tiao)

The nang was just toasted, and had no spice or seasoning, instead of roasted with spices.

Tomato noodles ok not much flavour. We had ''russian potatoes'' which again were bland but nothing special. Had the yoghurt which tasted like any other you buy in the store. The best thing was the chuanr but I guess it's pretty hard to mess that up.

Yes the decor inside was nice, and they had cool music playing, but for me the more ''rustic'' a Muslim place is the more authentic the food is.
