I’ve been to the Saddle a couple of times in the last month. The dorados are really good, as well as the chiliqueles. However, the chips in the chiliqueles get soggy quickly, so I’d recommend sharing so you can eat it faster.
We asked the waiter how much was in a pitcher of margaritas, expecting that since the price is almost 4 times the Maria, that it would be about the same amount. The waiter told us “cha bu duo,” which told me he had no clue. When they arrived, they handed us tiny glasses. One pitcher filled up 5 of those smaller glasses. There’s no way it’s anywhere close to 4 Maria’s worth. We ordered 2 picthers, but next time I think we’d stick with one Maria each and end up with more to drink. It was very disappointing, because a pitcher is really supposed to be a better deal, not a worse one.
The service could be better. At one point, we flagged down a waiter, and when he was on his way over, he stopped to talk to someone yelling at him from the window above the patio. I’m assuming maybe the kitchen from Bittapitta or someplace on that strip.
The patio chairs are quite nice. They are the comfy wicker chairs that allow a bit of air to circulate so you’re not covered in sweat after 10 minutes.
