There are not many reasonably priced bars that have even decent food, but XL is not expensive at all and the food is REALLY good. The daily specials offer half price burgers, steak, Andy's craft sausages, BBQ, and happy hour prices are 20 rmb for mixed drinks, 10 rmb for bottles of tsingtao, and 25 for draft Hoegaarden. The burgers come with fries or a salad and are delicious (half price on Tuesdays). The sausages were really good. Music is not super loud and is not just top 40 crap that you hear everywhere. The staff is all super friendly and they go out of their way to give you what you want. I will be here literally every Tuesday that I can and probably every Thursday for the half price burgers and sausages (34 RMB!!!). Burgers can compete with basically any that I have had in Beijing. Love this place.
