CSI: The Experience

Inspired by the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: The Experience is a traveling exhibition about crime lab forensic science and technology. And it’s the first time they come to China.


The exhibit was developed for the Science Museum Exhibit Collaborative by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in partnership with CBS Consumer Products and the National Science Foundation, which provided $2.4 million in funding for both the exhibit and a CSI "Web Adventure" targeted to underserved youth. Approved by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the exhibit was developed and designed by numerous partners.


CSI: The Experience starts with a video briefing. The visitors start their investigation in one of three crime scenes: a suburban living room with a car crashed through it, a hotel alley, and a remote desert. In each, visitors are asked to identify and gather evidence; analyze materials with the help of scientific techniques; formulate hypotheses about the crime; and confirm and communicate their findings.


CSI: The Experience features 2 separate crime labs ("trace evidence" and "forensic analysis") and an autopsy room where visitors can explore the technology used in evidence analysis. In order to trace vehicle tracks, clothing fibers, and paint chips in the first lab, museum-goers will collect data from microscope analysis to determine where matches occur and how they contribute to the larger hypothesis. Here, visitors can also evaluate digital evidence provided by cell phones and other electronics, in addition to hard evidence such as fingerprints, blood patterns, and ammunition casings.


To Catch the Killer

Do you have what it takes to solve a triple murder? Play the role of a crime scene investigator in this exciting, hands-on experience complete with two state-of-the-art forensic crime labs and dazzling special effects.


Based on the hit TV show and guided by videos of cast members and real-life forensic scientists, you'll perform realistic CSI tests like matching DNA, examining bullet casings and identifying single strands of hair. Hopefully you'll solve the murder before it's too late.

In this epic camp for creative and sporty girls and boys from 6 to 15 years old, children will build up their confidence, take care of their body and their mind and use the Force ! Kids will learn martial arts foundations in a fun and imaginative way, master lightsaber and perform age appropriate real stunt skills, just like their heroes in the movies, in a safe environment. If your child has a lot of imagination, loves to run, roll, and flip around at home, this will be a great place for them.


Different workshops will be taught in an enthusiastic, encouraging, and innovative approach. Martial arts basics will teach stances, kicks, punches and practicing rhythm. Stunts will teach kids to fall safely, jump and roll over obstacles, pratice and invent fight choreography with funny or dramatic reactions like a real actor. Children will learn to master the famous Star Wars Lightsaber, practicing attacks, paries and learn basic sword and saber forms.


Open to beginners, the classes and camp are taught by Coach Alex, a former professional Kung-Fu Wushu athlete and stunt actor with 20 years of experience working with kids of all age.

Camp will be held from April 25th to May 10th 2026. From April regular classes are held Saturdays 9:00-11:00 am and Sundays 12:30-2:30pm.
