Bringing up a young person in today's world can have many challenges for parents. Moving to a new country, going through a breakup, a loss of a job, or living with mental conditions is very challenging. Yet, there’s no reason to suffer alone when one can choose to join hands with others and let the power of connection and group support heal us.

In the absence of such social support in Beijing, CandleX established an English speaking mental health peer support group in Oct 2015. It provides a safe environment for people living in Beijing to share personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings in small, confidential gatherings. This is a project provided by CandleX, an NGO in Beijing that focuses on the mental health by awareness raising on depression. This is a continuing effort to provide more support to our Beijing English speaking community.

This will be an evening of fun, friendship and culture at our Tongzhou centre in Xiaopu Village, to celebrate the Year of the Dog! We’ll learn about Chinese customs at this time of year, make dumplings and paper cuts and learn to paint a traditional Chinese ink painting while enjoying snacks and tea! Then we’ll welcome the new year with firecrackers at midnight!

All materials, transportation and food is included. Pickup is at 4pm at Tuanjiehu subway station exit D and drop off will be around 1am at the same place.

If you had to leave China on short notice, would you be able to take your pet with you?

- Did you know it takes at least 4-6 months to prepare a pet from China to go to any of the 28 member nations of the European Union and the UAE?

- Did you know it takes a minimum of 6 months to prepare pets to go to Singapore?

- Did you know it takes a minimum of 8-months to prepare pets to go to Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan?

Did you know that the rabies antibody titre test is required for the pets entering the EU, UAE, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and many other countries/territories with strict quarantine control?

- Did you know that for EU countries, the rabies antibody titre test is valid for the life of the animal as long as your pet is rabies vaccinated again before the expiration date of the last rabies vaccination? So don't wait until your year of departure to complete the rabies antibody titre test as competing the test in advance means you may depart at anytime!

The number of pets that are being abandoned, relinquished and not leaving China with their families is increasing at an alarming rate. Come join the experts from ICVS as we share step-by-step instructions on the latest 2018 exit process, winter blackout periods on pet travel, microchipping, vaccinations, rabies antibody titre testing, and other requirements to help you prepare for a smooth departure from China and an easy entry to your next destination country.

ICVS relocation experts will help you make a plan for departure even if you may be considering multiple potential countries. ICVS has helped pets from China depart for more than 180 destination countries. We have been working with the PRC Entry-Exit Quarantine and Inspection Bureau since 1996 and have cumulative and comprehensive knowledge of the regulations that we share with pet owners. The ICVS official Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (e.g., vaccination red books) are the gold standard in China and help pet owners ensure a smooth experience at the time of the mandatory exit health examination at the Quarantine Bureau.

ICVS vaccination red books are unique and are not issued in conjunction with any other pet hospitals in China. Please ensure your vaccination red book is issued directly by ICVS and carries all legally required stamps (e.g., chops) for export.
