Beijing's Fifth Annual International Light Festival Starts August 27

The few details released about the fifth annual Beijing International Light Festival are not particularly illuminating but we do know that it will commence at Beijing's Liang Dian Design Center (LDDC) on Wednesday (Aug 27) and will run until October 20.

According to its Founder and Curator Ding Ping, this year's festival will showcase 18 light installations under the theme of "Architecture and Light."

In a press release, Ding states, "The installations match light with specific architecture and not only examine how the interaction between the two creates a life for the building, but also looks at the unique beauty of light." 

Installations included in the event include Memories by Ye Weide, You Are the Lead by Zhou Hongliang, Photosynthesis by Shao Shuang and Y by Wang Zhenfei and Wang Luming.
