Met Petal

Located in Galaxy Soho, Met Petal is a flower-centric restaurant that serves Western cuisine. From paella to salads, Met Petal prides itself on creating dishes that are as colorful as the bouquets that adorn the walls. Dinner here is slightly more expensive than average but the floral setting and elevated view help distract from the twinge of leaving with a slightly lighter wallet.

Shrimp Dumplings

This chain serves delicious dumplings at an affordable prices (about RMB 30 for a plate of a dozen).

Try their tantalizingly salty pork and mushroom (RMB 26 per plateful), the tart pickled vegetable dumplings (RMB 27), celery and pork dumplings (also RMB 27), and shrimp only dumplings (RMB 37). 

At their UTown location, you can watch staff members roll and fold those mouthwatering morsels from the glass-encased open kitchen near the doorway.

Dangui Renjia

Originally a small eatery Dangui near National Art Museum of China was shut down during the Great Brickening then reopened in the basement of Galaxy Soho. Providing suansun (酸笋) or marinated sour bamboo shoot, rice noodles (RMB 15-20), and several Guilin home-style dishes (RMB 18-45) including stir-fried marinated sour bamboo shoots with pig intestines, and lipu taro with pork.

MIP Pro

MIP Pro's motto is "Live what you love" and they hope to bring that same belief to members through this professional training center. Coaches hold multiple world titles in MMA, boxing, muay thai, and BJJ, and the gym is kitted out with a professional boxing ring as well as referees for controlled boxing or muay thai sparring.
