Richard Pontzious appears to direct the Asian Youth Orchestra at the NCPA. The members of the orchestra are among the finest young musicians from China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam and are selected via a highly rigorous audition process. They appear to play a programme including Strauss, Sibelius and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
