LiveBeijingMusic will be throwing a goodbye party at none other than DDC over the course of January 17th and 18th - with a three-course meal offering up some of our favorite acts, bands and artists who have shaped LiveBeijingMusic over the years.

Lineup: SNSOS/Last Goodbye/Run Run Run/Guiguisuisui/throutin

Night one keeps things atmospheric and tense with four diverse acts with a penchant for instrumental playfulness, occult mind-trips, dreamy soundscapes, and dance floor-throbbing electronica. Leading the charge are instrumental rockers SNSOS, who have no qualms jumping from one canvas to the next, infusing their sound with math rock playfulness, emo rock pulp, and post-rock crescendos that are spirited, intricately assembled, and brimming with life. Also on the bill, are glistening dream-pop groovers Last Goodbye whose rhythmic pulsehas been pulling in audiences for years - as they craft beautifully realized tunes brimming with adole scence gloom, lush textures, elastic melodies, and colorfulaplomb. Run Run Run have been proving themselves to be one of the instrumental scene’s most vital players - instilling their tropical sprawling sound with mellowed-out grooves and layers of freewheeling guitar dissonance that can easily sweep you away leave you in a daze. Synth-doom duo Guiguisuisui continue to blur the line between art and music, turning their sets into an electronically lush art-rockopus deliciously stringing together minimal wave synths, trip-hop beats, guitars, and operatic singing into a Pandora’s Box of fun. Rounding out the evening is veteran electronic producer thruoutin, who utilizes everything from Chicago footwork to field recordings to create a dizzying genre-bending concoction that’s both dance floor ripper and bedroom mixer.
