Suanpan (算盘) welcomes Sunsiaré, the brains behind one of Asia’s most exciting new clubs, to Zhao Dai.

Sunsiaré has been living in Asia for more than a decade and has become a key part of the regional scene since playing the opening night of Korner in Taipei back in 2012. Over the years, the Frenchman has been involved in numerous projects with Cliché Records, organized countless parties in Hong Kong, and was part of the core team responsible for the opening of Savage and Equation festival in Hanoi. Now based in Hong Kong, he is the music director of 宀 (Mihn) Club.

Found at only a handful of select clubs around Asia, Sunsiaré’s music selection, technical ability, and taste for exceptional sound quality has seen him share the DJ booth with respected artists such as Powder, Samo DJ, Gonno, Roi Perez, Boris, Shanti Celeste, Funkineven, ATEQ, and S.O.N.S. His hard work and dedication to the craft has not gone unnoticed either with a featured appearance on the first ever Vietnamese Boiler Room in 2017 performing under his label name FGHB Soundsystem.

With two record labels under his belt, 2014 saw the launch of his first, Homesick - a series of highly sought after edits from the likes of Marquis Hawkes, Borrowed Identity, Mister Ho, Powder, and Jonathan Kusuma. His second label Fragrant Harbour, with a focus on the more house and techno side of things, followed a year later releasing forward thinking EP’s from Fulbert, General Ludd, Renart, LPZ, and Broccoli Brothers.

His musical sensibilities and upbringing aligns perfectly with the type of artist and DJ we enjoy listening to and booking, so it’s with great excitement that we can welcome him to Beijing for his Zhao Dai debut on Friday 22nd February. As usual, Tanner and Juhstynn will be taking care of warm up proceedings on the evening.
