Founder of International Exchange Center for Confucius Studies



Muyuan Liu, born in Qufu, Shandong, China, has studies and worked in Canada since 2006. Raised in a traditional Chinese family, the overseas experiences provided her with a rare opportunity to step out of her own culture and appreciate it from a different perspective. Holding an M.A. in International and Intercultural Communication, she has strong expertise in public relations and has been working closely with several organizations to promote international education.


“There are various ways to learn about one’s culture, by reading a book about the place and people, by traveling there and making new friends, or by doing a collaborative project. Regardless, the first step is and will always be to keep an open mind and start asking questions.”
