This March, China World Summit Wing, Beijing will celebrate the passionate nation of Argentina. During this time, Atmosphere will welcome Argentinian bartender Tato Giovannoni for 6 nights while Grill 79 will offer a limited edition set menu celebrating Argentinian beef.

From 12-16 March, Tato Giovannoni will be behind the bar at Atmosphere mixing a selection of eight unique cocktails. Tato has designed the cocktail menu for many restaurants in the United States, including Malbec House and Gaucho Bar and Grill. In 2012, he founded Florería Atlántico in Buenos Aires, which went on to be named one of The World’s 50 Best Bars. Moreover in 2015, he opened the modern Argentinian restaurant Brasero Atlántico. In 2016, he published his first book, Coctelería Argentina: El mar de Tato (Argentine Cocktail Bartending: Tato’s Sea).

Before becoming a bartender, Tato studied advertising art and filmmaking. He loves drawing and exploring forests and oceans, and he brings all of these creative interests together when creating his drinks. He has built his own gin brand, Príncipe de los Apóstoles, which is infused with the most Argentine drink of all, yerba mate, as well as eucalyptus, pink grapefruit, and peppermint.

From 11-24 March, Grill 79 will offer a five course set menu that champions Argentinian beef, provided by renowned beef producer Rioplatense. Our chefs will carefully prepare a range of different beef cuts, from tender fillet carpaccio to grilled sirloin, alongside other classic Argentinian ingredients and dishes such as royal red shrimp and empanadas.

On 15 March, Grill 79 will host an Argentinian wine dinner featuring wines from the Mendoza region carefully paired by our sommelier with a series of beef dishes. Mendoza is Argentina’s most important wine region, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the country’s entire production, including some rare and difficult to grow grapes. One of the most famous varieties to come from this region is Malbec, which is sure to be a highlight at the dinner.
