Saxophonist and composer active in the Beijing jazz scene since 2006. As a member of the "Red Hand" quintet and leader of his own quartet, he has made important contributions to Beijing jazz music.

Other bands he has played with include "Xia Jia Quartet," Rafal Sarnecki, "Bad Monk," "David," "Beijing Blue Note Big Band," "Three Sergeants Syndrome," "Beijing City Big Band," "Afrokoko Roots" and Dou Wei "Not Necessarily." He has participated in the Nine Gates Jazz Festival, Turtle Island Jazz Festival, Niigata Festival, Guangzhou Jazz Festival, Midi Jazz Festival and Ditan Music Festival.

In April 2019, Gao Taihang and pianist Xia Jia released the original album "Confluence." He currently teaches at the Beijing Institute of Modern Music.
