Pregnant Ladies cannot enjoy Eudora Station's Ladies' Night
So... I'm the pregnant lady. I met two female friends at Eudora because it's relatively close to where we live and we knew there was a happy hour. We found out that on Wednesdays it is apparently ladies' night and the menu listed all of the drinks that you could choose from. My one friend got a margarita and the other friend got a pineapple juice and malibu and I asked for a non-alcoholic margarita to which the waiter laughed and then told me that would be impossible. I asked him to check with the bartender as he obviously didn't know virgin cocktails actually do exist. So he came back saying that they could make it but that it wouldn't taste good. I thought I might as well try it as it was free. About 20 minutes after our order, their drinks finally came out. Mine took another ten minutes of asking and finally the waiter brought me out a glass that had an inch of lemon juice in it. Obviously they do not use a margarita mixer which is fine, I just wish he would have told me that not only would the "kou gan" be not so good, that it would not fill a quarter of the glass. It was a joke.
So I asked for a glass of pineapple juice or the manager and he got the manager who was a Chinese woman. We explained again and she said that she couldn't help us because on ladies' night they would only give away free alcoholic drinks. I explained that I was pregnant and would it really be out of the question to let me order a pineapple plus malibu minus the malibu. She again said that she was sorry but that they could only give free alcoholic drinks away to the ladies. She explained that they gave free drinks away to ladies who wanted to enjoy themselves and chat and relax but despite our arguments, she insisted that I buy myself a juice because they would not be giving me a free drink unless it contained alcohol.
I told her I was very unsatisfied and that I would not be coming back. Unfortunately we had just ordered fries so we had to stay a bit longer although I was seething. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this place. The service was bad before any of this even started but we thought, free drinks can't be so bad if they ever get to us. I didn't realize it would ruin my mood for the entire evening. I now see why they are constantly looking for western managers; I just would have liked to speak to someone who understood making the customer happy.
