Would you like to be a driving and influential force in Beijing's international family and education communities?

We are recruiting for a SENIOR EDITOR for beijingkids.

Your task will be to help with the planning and production of the beijingkids magazine, website (beijing-kids.com) and social media (WeChat, Weibo, Facebook, Instagram) by planning, writing, collecting, and editing assignments, actively participate in online and digital forums, and work as a checkpoint to ensure that the production flow runs according to schedule. You will also represent beijingkids and parent company True Run Media at external events, and liaise with community partners and clients to obtain relevant information and documents to support the brand’s strategic direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in editorial planning and execution by sending out and receiving all articles, and giving them an initial polish and formatting.
- Research and write content for the magazine (including regular columns such as Indulge, New Arrivals, Blank Canvas, Circuit photos, etc).
- Write at least one feature per month.
- Proofread editorial content (web and print) when necessary, format them, and save them for final copy editing by the Managing Editor (and/or Deputy).
- Assist the Managing Editor (and/or Deputy) in delegating writing assignments.
- Fill in for the Managing Editor (and/or Deputy) at board meetings, managers' huddles, and other meetings when necessary.
- Help the Managing Editor (and/or Deputy) onboard and train interns.
- Communicate with schools to recruit models for photo shoots.
- Attend events on behalf of the brand and the company.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (journalism background preferred)
- Fluent English speaker (comfortable working in Chinese a big plus)
- At least 2 years of English writing and editing experience.
- Demonstrated digital and/or social media experience.
- Ability to produce under deadline.
- An unparalleled creative streak.
- Commitment to and passion for the city of Beijing.
- Outgoing and has a people-person attitude.
- Parents are preferred

Looking to act as an advocate for us to build and maintain a positive relationship with China's international communities? Looking to start your career in the media field?

We are recruiting for a PR EXECUTIVE.

Your task will be to draft press releases for all our events (in-house and sponsored) and make contact with other local and international media who can also help spread the word. You are also expected to be an ambassador for all of our four brands.

This is NOT a dedicated writing job but you should enjoy writing to efficiently deliver communications to the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create all communications and content for PR use of all brands for events, branding and marketing, as well as externally-sponsored events.
- Create and update all in-house ads.
- Manage the social media platforms including WeChat, Weibo, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
- Reach out and maintain relationships with outside media companies to help with additional exposure on company events.
- Maintain the department’s calendar and ensure that all team members and other departments are aware of upcoming events.
- Promote sponsorships and event programs with appropriate partners and public representatives to ensure the programs are known, supported, and are achieving goals for the company.
- Manage the giveaways for all brands, which include working with the Sales team to obtain reader prizes.
- Organize the Annual Reader Survey, other surveys, and organize the annual production of Media Kits.
- Arrange tickets for events for all brands.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent speaking and writing skills in English. Chinese language skills a major advantage.
- An ability to conceptualize, write and edit compelling English-language content.
- An unparalleled creative streak.
- A genuine interest in marketing & events.
- An active social life.
- An undergraduate degree (preferably in journalism, marketing, public relations or communications).

Seeking an exciting and challenging role in a dynamic organization that is devoted to serving China's international communities?

We are recruiting for a Digital Development Director.

Your task will be to oversee the maintenance and development of all digital products at True Run Media, the parent company of the Beijinger, beijingkids and JingKids (Beijing and Shanghai). This will include products ranging from websites to WeChat accounts to newsletters to ecommerce platforms to future products.

This is NOT a coding job but you should have a strong enough background in coding to efficiently manage outsourcers, freelancers and service providers.

Critical skills:
1. Vision for the future direction of digital content and commerce and a desire to bring new projects to life
2. Proven experience managing outsourced projects in the digital space in China, including price negotiation and execution of deals
3. Functional literacy in mananaging projects involving Symfony, WeChat, Drupal, Wordpress, HTML5, Apache, php, iOS and Android apps, and an open mind to learn more
4. Experience working seamlessly in a bilingual Chinese and English environment, especially the ability to tap into Chinese-language resources
