Beijing Eunuch Cultural Museum

This fascinating museum is home to the cemetery of Tian Yi, an influential eunuch who lived during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The museum is divided into three main sections which explain the history of the practice of castrating males to create the eunuch class, the reasons this practice flourished and was eventually outlawed, and a collection of delicate statues and stone carvings.

Chef’s Wei’s Noodle House

Chef’s Wei’s Noodle House appears in the north of the boutique beer bar C2H6O, offering seven options of noodles, all at RMB 18, and various options of chuan'r. The noodles are made of a blend of three kinds of flours, and the youpomian (sour and spicy noodles) has an addition of sugar.

Capital Steel Factory

This is the former location of Shougang Company Ltd, a pig-iron plant originally founded in 1919. It became the largest steel mill in the country, sprawling from the suburbs over 8.56sqm, the size of 2.7 Summer Palaces. At its peak in the 1990s, it had an annual output of 10 million tons and offered “iron rice bowls” to more than 200,000 workers. Nowadays it attracts tourists and photographers for its magnificent displays of urban decay.

Tongxin Huhui

Tongxin Huhui is a charity organization that helps migrant workers in Beijing, they accept donations that can help migrant workers such as clothes, home electronics as well as funding. With 8 spots located at different areas in Beijing, the organization welcome people to drop out their donations at their spots as well as to apply online for getting donations picked up by the organization workers.
