On this evening Future Orients holds the Beijing album release show for their debut album "Eat or Die!"

Representing the mighty Maybe Mars, Future Orients finish their 27 city tour throughout China in their home of Beijing. Formed 3 years ago by university buddies, Future Orients have experienced a meteoric rise, and won over fans throughout the country, as well as fellow musicians, including album producer Yang Haisong. With a sound reminiscent of a more aggressive Radiohead and Tortoise, Future Orients write great songs and pack a punch with their live show to boot. Don't miss this special night as they release their debut album!

Opening up the show are another recent Maybe Mars singing the much loved Lonely Leary.

苏紫旭 & The Paramecia

The Paramecia is a music project founded in Nanjing in 2013 by singer-songwriter and poet Su Zixu. Rooted in a distinctive creativity, the band integrates brass and strings with rock instrumentation to blend folk, world music and progressive rock. In their devotion to grandiosity and subtlety in equal parts, The Paramecia evoke musical landscapes and journeys of immense furor, as well as profound quietude. In their songs, both whispers and shrieks of poetic verse echo overtop ever-changing harmonies; a butterfly's wings gently flap moments before it plummets into the abyss.

After several lineup reshuffles, the band finally settles its Beijing-based ensemble in 2016.

Tavey Lean and The Solid Gold Dream Machine (more conveniently known as Solid Gold) have been together in various shapes, sizes, forms and formations for the last decade, bringing their own nu-wave-nostalgic feel to the covers they perform.

As trendsetters of the “Postmodern Jukebox” scene of Beijing, Solid Gold maintain a focus on modernising tunes from the past; a cocktail of known crowd pleasers mixed with those-songs-you-swear-you've-heard-somewhere-before leaves audiences both invigorated, and refreshed. Taking influence from the wide array of musical preferences, combined creative talents, and collective years of experience shared amongst the eight piece band, the specific end goal in mind is always...Fun.

Whilst the internal mechanisms of The Solid Gold Dream Machine may change from time to time, the cogs keep turning, bringing the party as often as possible. Jump aboard Solid Gold's very own Soul Train where you are invited to sing it with Stevie, move it with Marvin and (depending on how much liquid fun you consume), enjoy a showcase of once forgotten classics you'll not forget any time soon.
