Happy New Year, everybody! With a belly full of baijiu and dumplings, an ear full of ringing, and a face full smoke, we hope that you're ready to make the best of the year of the sheep. If you're confused as to what to expect from the ram over the next 12 months then you can read up on its significance here.

Events are thin on the ground as places close up (check where here) and people head home but there are still a hundful of events to keep you occupied if you're hanging around town. Also, if you have yet to do so, remember to vote in our 2015 Reader's Restaurant Awards before the polls close on March 8.

That's all folks! Check our blog, which will be ticking over throughout the holiday, for more ideas as to what to do. Have a great week of rest, partying, and everything inbetween!

Make sure to keep up-to-date with goings on by checking out our Events page and our weekly WeChat newsletter by subscribing to "theBeijinger". Also, keep on sending us your pics via Instagram #thebeijinger_pekingpics and follow us @the_beijinger.
