Concrete Flux Announces Theme for Third Issue as 'Escapism'

Concrete Flux, Beijing's go-to publication for the documentation of experiences in the capital through a loose framework of art, design, and literature has just announced its theme from the third issue: Escapism. As a primer for how escapism affects us all and to get those creative juices flowing, the team released this short blurb on their website:

Quote:
The city can be a zone to escape to – from poverty, from boredom, into dreams – and away from – from the noise, pollution, congestion and stress of city life. How do you interpret the theme of escapism and the city in China?

The deadline for submissions is August 22 at 6pm. The team are also calling on anyone who would like to get involved with the Concrete Flux objective to contact them at hello@concreteflux.com.

The second issue, which was released last month and explored the theme of hybridity, can be viewed online here.
