Last Shopping Weekend Before Xmas: Raid Yashow Before it Closes Dec 31

It's the last shopping weekend before Christmas and with the Yashow market scheduled to be shut for renovations Dec 31, shopping deals abound -- so fight the crowds and score some goodies before we see the last of the place (and god knows what it will evolve into once it returns to business in the spring).

Here's some other ideas for great Christmas gifts for your favorite Beijinger:

1. Give the gift of clean air by getting them a new air filter. Check out our shopping guide here

2. Buy a bunch of seasonal cakes, snacks and other edibles. Check out our buying guides here and here.

3. Get a hideous seasonal jumper for old time's sake. Check out our Christmas sweater buying guide here.

4. For the smokers on your list, get a trendly electronic cigarette. Check out where to buy here.

5. Nothing says "I Love You" more than a thousand grams of mixed nuts. Get them by the boatload at Costco's new China online store here

6. Wine, wine wine: it's hard to go wrong with a gift box of fine wine. The Wine Republic has several on offer this season from RMB 160 to RMB 1199.

7. We love the Hutong's line of cooking-themed holiday goodies for the the foodie on your list. Check their line here.

8. No Hutong Hipster should be without Plastered 8's new line of Motherf***er in CBD t-shirts. With the opening of their new shop, you now have two places to pick one up: Nanluoguxiang and CBD.

9. And if all else fails, there's always Taobao -- and we tell you how to use it even if you can't read Chinese or have a local credit card here.

Finally, for those still planning their ways to celebrate the holiday, be sure to check our list of over 100 Christmas events happening in the Jing on our events page at www.thebeijinger.com/events/christmas.
