First Glance: Kenny's Burgers, Nali Patio

No-fuss burgers in a stylish setting this is what you can expect to get from new Nali Patio resident Kenny's Burgers.

Owned by local celebrity chef Kenny Fu (previously of My Humble House and ambassador for kitchen brand Miele), the menu at Kenny's Burgers is as simple as the name: burgers, salads, and desserts, accompanied by an accessible wine selection, rather than the more typical (these days anyway) craft beers.

The burger patties are 100 percent grass-fed Tasmanian beef, so were expecting big things when we bit into a selection of some of their signature burgers on our first visit: the AV Burger (RMB 68), with arugula, veal patty, tomatoes, pickles; the Wutong burger (RMB 78), with kimchi, tempura sweet potato, and burger relish; and a special burger with Tasmanian beef steak and caramelized onions. Thankfully we weren't disappointed,

There is no question that the beef is good quality the patties have a great flavor when eaten alone, so much so that we definitely recommend that purists stick with the classic hamburger (RMB 58) or the double-decker beef burger (RMB 98).

Some will question whether Beijing really needed any more burgers, but to my mind a good quality burger at a price that compares favorably to other options like Blue Frog and Let's Burger is no bad thing.

Look for them to officially launch at the end of the month, with an expanded selection of salads and some steak options.
