This hidden little gem over by tian'an men is great to have a nice quiet drink with friends or nice little romantic evening. Great set up and decor inside - the lounge, cafe and fine dining sections have great ambiance seating and lighting. Their bar made from copper is quite impressive.
The food. Great presentation with flavors to match, also one of the few places in beijing that has oysters on a half shell. The steak tartare was delicious.
The drinks. Fabulous. Very fresh and delicious, one just wasn't enough. Their Belvedere vodka cocktails were very well mixed as were the Jack Daniel's drinks. Generous portions all around. If you still think Bed bar has the best mojito in town, their Casino Royale might change your mind. Their Spicy Butterfly was spiced nicely with lots of ginger and complemented nicely with a side dish of pepper-roasted olives.
The atmosphere. Wonderful. You feel relaxed as soon as you step inside. Great lighting and music track selection that set the mood for either pre-dinner drinks or a nice nightcap. A minimal arrangement gives a nice feeling of space inside. The leather couches are a nice touch and quite comfortable as well. The service was very attentive, but not overly so.
Overall a great place to take a date, impress friends and visitors, or to just relax with a nice drink. It's a good deal because you get a lot for what you pay. I will be returning there soon.
