Olio is the kind of place that looks good from the outside (consistent crowd, diverse Western-oriented menu with Singaporean/Malaysian items thrown in), but tends to disappoint once you've tried it.
I've eaten here three times now and have left disappointed each time. Today's expedition involved their lunch set menu, from which I opted for a potato and bacon salad, seafood lakhsa and flatwhite coffee (RMB 69) - the potato salad was bland with a browning piece of romaine lettuce and a miniscule amount of canned bacon bits and nothing more (not even a sprig of parsley), while the lakhsa came with a disappointing amount of not-so-fresh shrimp, two mussels and a bunch of chicken thrown in to a decent broth that was unfortunately undermined by soggy, overcooked noodles that tasted like they came out a package of cheap, dried spaghetti.
The one bright side of the meal was the good coffee for dessert and wi-fi access.
Maybe, just maybe, I'll go back, but it will be a while ...
