Located next to a flyover about 500m west of Jianwai Soho's south side, I don't know how anyone found this little place. Like the story about the people who bought the Velvet Underground's first album though, probably everyone who goes here opens a restaurant. Or at least returns to Hakidame again and again. The chicken and beef kebabs are good, especially with a super-cold bottle of Asahi. They even bring you a chilled glass. The manager seems to be a local guy, but the atmosphere is proper Japanese. Prices are good too. Try it out, then open your own restaurant. Or just come back here. I'll be going again.
