When you eat at Quanjude you get all the fanfare of eating the same prepared kind of duck that all the other world dignitaries ate. The price is also up there, although not unreasonable. It's certainly something people should experience in their Beijing stay, but once you've been there and done that, then I think any old duck will just do. I just cant tell the difference sometimes between that restaurant's duck and this restaurant's duck, whatever detailed description there is. Sometimes I just want a duck and my baijiu fix to go along with it, and the long lines of tourists waiting outside of Quanjude for their celebrity experience just get in the way.
