The first time I went to Quanjude was for a friend’s birthday, so we were fortunate enough to secure a nice private room. With a vibrant Chinese guzheng instrument playing in the background complemented by a Chinese mask performance, I must say that I was extremely impressed by the atmosphere and welcomeness. We ordered a set with several traditional Beijing dishes, which were well done. However, the highlight was by far the duck, which was easily the highest quality and best tasting duck that I’ve had. The soup afterwards was also incredible, complementing a top-notch meal beautifully.
